Zeugma Systems

See How Zeugma Solutions WorkZeugma Systems is a supplier of carrier-grade, open telecommunications systems that allow broadband service providers to identify, monitor, manage, and customize traffic flows on a per-service, per-subscriber level. Using the Zeugma Services Node (ZSN), a service delivery router (SDR) that uniquely combines massive compute power with near-terabit interface capacity, broadband service providers can dramatically increase average revenue per user while reducing underlying infrastructure cost and accelerating time-to-market for new services.

Central to the ZSN is a high-performance, fully federated compute grid supporting the Zeugma Open Application Sandbox (OAS). The Zeugma OAS, in a manner similar to general-purpose operating systems, allows service providers to embed applications within the ZSN that are developed by Zeugma, by the service providers themselves, or even by select third parties, yielding a platform that is truly limitless in its potential to support new services.

Zeugma. Rethinking the edge.

Michael Howard, cofounder and principal analyst with industry research firm Infonetics Research, “The future relevance and competitiveness of broadband providers is dependent on their ability to quickly develop and deploy new services—today's value creation and value add is largely in services, and not in the capacity and pipes to deliver such services. The ZSN is the first of a new breed of service delivery routers and could be a game changer.”

08/18/08 - On Capping and Metering (Second in a Series)

Continuing on this thread…
