We’ve posted quite a bit here about the increasing prevalence of internet video. The data has been clear—there is an enormous increase in the quantity of traffic flowing downstream from web-based video servers directly to television-attached set-top boxes.The motivation has been equally clear—people are seeking the infinite variety of long-tail content as opposed to the packaged, linear, channel lineups fed to them by programming executives in some far-away city.
